I completed my doctoral training in Marriage and Family Therapy
at St. Mary’s University, my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from
the University of Houston and my master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences-Marriage
and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. My internship
requirements were completed in the Department of Family and Community Medicine—UT
Health Science Center, Houston and have worked with family practitioners, pediatricians,
and psychiatrists since.
I am currently in full time practice, serving people in the Katy and greater Houston, Texas, area and
also teach as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Sugarland
Campus. I specialize in a combination of talk therapy and neurofeedback to
treat clients with anxiety.
The exciting part of my work is that therapists now have several
different options to help people deal with life circumstances. I specialize in using neurofeedback (EEG biofeedback), an alternative treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social phobia. Assessments are made using brain mapping and QEEG (Quantitative EEG) and symptom analysis.
I work with Individuals, Couples, and Families--My interests include:
- Anxiety, Depression and Stress
- Marriage and Divorce Counseling
- Relationship Issues/Communication Issues
- Medical Family Therapy
- Living with Chronic Illness
- Issues of Adolescence
- Building self-esteem, motivation, and confidence
